Who Thrives at Oakland School

Oakland School serves students who benefit from a highly personalized learning environment, including those with diagnosed learning differences such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADHD, as well as students who thrive with small classes, individualized instruction, and meaningful relationships with teachers.

We are a small, co-educational private school serving students from second grade through high school. We welcome students across Virginia and the entire United States.

Our four and a half week summer program allows students to experience Oakland’s personalized learning approach while building confidence and independence in a fun, supportive environment.

Oakland’s Summer Camp blends intensive, personalized academics with the joy of traditional summer activities. We help students stay on track academically while returning to school in the fall feeling prepared and confident. For many students, the program also serves as a low-pressure way to explore whether Oakland School is the right fit, and often becomes the pathway to full-time enrollment.
