How to Apply to Oakland School Summer Camp

At Oakland School, our Virginia summer camp program is designed to ensure the right fit for your child’s academic, social, and emotional needs. Our thoughtful admissions process helps families feel confident in their decision while allowing us to understand each student’s unique strengths and goals for summer camp.

Summer Camp Application Process

Our summer camp admissions process includes the following steps:

 Initial Parent Inquiry

Contact us by phone or email to express interest and ask questions about our program.


Phone Consultation

A member of our admissions team will schedule a call to discuss your child’s needs, goals, and how our summer program may support them.


Application Submission

Submit the following materials:

  • Completed application

  • Testing and evaluation results (if applicable)

  • $50 application fee (paid via Blackbaud; credited toward tuition upon enrollment)


Application Review

Our team carefully reviews each application to ensure the best fit for both student and program.


In-Person Interview & Campus Tour

Families are invited to visit campus, meet staff, and experience our supportive environment firsthand.


Once accepted, families complete registration and submit the required deposit to secure their student’s spot.

Acceptance & Registration

Space is limited. Preference is given to returning students and their siblings.

Summer Camp Tuition

Oakland School Day & Boarding Summer Camp Pricing

    • All classroom materials

    • Swimming lessons

    • Horseback riding lessons

    • Access to our full summer enrichment program

    • $5,100 — Day Camp

    • $9,200 — Boarding Camp

    An informational booklet outlining what to bring will be provided to all enrolled families.

  • To reserve your child’s place, a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required upon acceptance:

    • $1,500 — Day Camp Deposit

    • $2,500 — Boarding Camp Deposit

    The deposit is applied toward total tuition and secures your student’s enrollment.

  • Families may choose one of the following:

    • Pay in full at the time of acceptance

    • Installment plan: Pay deposit at acceptance and remaining balance in scheduled payments

All registrations completed by June 9 require full payment at the time of enrollment.
