He has historically had a very difficult time focusing due to ADHD but the small class sizes and the attentiveness and flexibility of the teachers at Oakland have made a significant difference in his ability to engage with the material. Additionally, as a neurodivergent student he occasionally needs accommodations and additional support. We worried we wouldn't be able to find this in a private school but the Oakland leadership team has been incredibly responsive in problem-solving and providing these when needed.
